INVITATION
All families are invited to participate in a simultaneous celebration of the
Feast of the Holy Family in their respective homes on December 26th at 6:00 PM.

INTRODUCTION
The Celebration has two parts. The first part is to open wide a Holy Door to Christ in our homes and the next part is the main Holy Family Day Celebration.
The first objective of this Celebration is to open our hearts to the teachings of Jesus. As we approach the New Year 2000, families are invited to designate a door (an entrance door) in our homes as a Holy Year Door to be properly marked with a Jubilee Seal, a small banner, a medallion, or a cross. This door shall become a symbol of the holiness of life, which dwells within our homes -- life that proclaims a desire to become a holy family, that Christ is present within this home, and that Christ's blessings are upon those who enter. The daily passing through this door becomes a constant reminder of our special pilgrimage of faith -- opening wide the doors of our hearts to Jesus and to those whom He loved, as we prepare to celebrate 2000 years of Christianity.
The second objective is to learn to listen to Jesus as He teaches us to love and to heal in the Gospel readings of the Holy Mass. This Holy Family Day Celebration, therefore, is an opportunity for families to experience the teachings of Jesus through the parents who would try everyday to become authentic witnesses of our Lord to their children. Thereby, the families grow into the image and likeness of the Holy Family.
